Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/ Kitchen Assistants to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our catering department runs smoothly, delivering high-quality food and service to our customers.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for our cafe, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Set up and clean down catering equipment and supplies
Provide excellent customer service by attending to the needs of our visitors, ensuring a positive experience
Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely service and effective communication throughout the day
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering areas, including proper storage of food items and equipment
Engage with visitors in a friendly manner, providing information about menu items and catering services.
Adhere too the strict uniform policy set out by the company
Helping set up the cafe by prepping food on a morning and cleaning down the area on an evening including floors and bins

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide outstanding guest services.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
Happy to cover all COSHH requirements within a working kitchen
Training will be provided on site
Previous experience of cooking in a busy environment is preferred but not essential
Food hygiene certificates level 1 and 2 preferred

Due to the seasonal nature of the business and in order to keep relevant staff employed during the season, other duties may be required.
