Cook – Immediate Start

Job Types: Full-time, 35h/week
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £14.65 per hour
Expected start date: Immediate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our catering department runs smoothly, delivering high-quality food and service to our customers.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for our cafe, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Set up and clean down catering equipment and supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service by attending to the needs of our visitors, ensuring a positive experience
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely service and effective communication throughout the day
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering areas, including proper storage of food items and equipment
  • Engage with visitors in a friendly manner, providing information about menu items and catering services.
  • Adhere too the strict uniform policy set out by the company
  • Helping set up the cafe by prepping food on a morning and cleaning down the area on an evening including floors and bins

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide outstanding guest services.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Happy to cover all COSHH requirements within a working kitchen
  • Training will be provided on site.
  • Food hygiene certificates level 1 or 2 preferred

Due to the seasonal nature of the business and in order to keep relevant staff employed during the season, other duties may be required.
