Step Back in Time and Experience WW2
Families can immerse themselves in a captivating experience at Eden Camp Modern History Museum exploring the Second World War in an engaging way. Experiencing what it was like for those on the Home Front and the Front Line as you visit the 22 preserved POW huts. Each hut to find immersive displays that detail The Blitz, everyday life during wartime (complete with rationing and period fashions), the Home Guard, Evacuation practices, the Battle of Britain, and the celebrations of VE & VJ Days.
NEW FOR 2024 HUMAN TORPODOES
Expect to be blown away with our brand-new exhibit Human Torpedoes showcasing some of the Museums rare exhibits and the idea to make a stealthy underwater attacks on ships, believed to be safely anchored . This immersive and explosive exhibit literally submerges you into the life of a British Charioteer. The scenic works, animations, and lighting give visitors a sense of the risk, bravery, and mystery to highlight this vital piece of wartime history.
Family Friendly Educational Workshops

EVACUATION WORKSHOP – WEDNESDAY 27 MARCH, 1PM-2PM, FREE
Engage in an interactive session about the evacuation, discussing its importance and what essentials to pack. Activities include suitcase packing and making your name label. Plus, find your own Evacuee Teddy in the gift shop!
WW1 COOKING – THURSDAY 28 MARCH & THURSDAY 4 APRIL, 1PM-2PM, FREE
Experience the culinary side of WW1 by making your own tack biscuits, a staple for soldiers in the trenches. Taste these long-lasting biscuits and decide if Bovril might be the needed addition!

Bring history to life with Eden Camp’s Living History Weekends. Interact with reenactors from the British, US, and German armies, and immerse in stories from Home Front heroes.

WILLOW WEAVING WORKSHOPS –TUESDAY 2 APRIL, VARIOUS TIMES, £6.50 PER CHILD
Join Janice Burley in learning the ancient craft of willow weaving, creating a willow fish to take home. Sessions are £6.50 per child, with limited spots available for booking.
