The health and wellbeing of our staff, visitors, and their families is of the upmost importance to us.
With the ever-changing circumstances and the impact that the tier system has had on our business, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close from Monday 2nd November to Sunday 15th November. Although we are currently in the Medium Tier (Tier 1), our visitors travel from far and wide, including those in Tier 3 areas; resulting in a reduction of visitors through our gates.
Our staff and volunteers have been working tirelessly to keep our Museum open, and we are ever grateful for their commitment and efforts every day. The Museum will continue to fight for the future viability of the business and its staff, and this is the reason we have chosen to close for a short temporary period.
It also gives the opportunity for vital maintenance and repair works to take place in a safe manner whilst there are no members of the public on site, in line with our newly funded project.
If you have made plans to visit us during this period, whether with your family, school, or group, our staff will be in touch as soon as possible to either rearrange your visit or issue a refund. Please note, bookings prior to this period and Christmas bookings will not be affected.
We really appreciate your loyal custom and we look forward to welcoming all our guests back with us in the very near future.
