Experience an immersive WWII Living History Weekend at Eden Camp Modern History Museum, where the sights, sounds and stories of the 1940s are brought vividly to life. Set within an original Second World War prisoner-of-war camp, this special Easter event invites visitors to explore history beyond the display case.
Meet costumed reenactors, witness live demonstrations, and discover what everyday life was really like on both the Home Front and the Front Line during Britain’s wartime years.

Doors open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm both days. We recommend booking online in advance as tickets are cheaper and it makes arrival quicker and easier. That leaves you free to spend the day exploring the camp, visiting the café, and enjoying the museum at your own pace.

👗 Dress the Part (Optional)
Visitors are welcome to attend in respectful 1940s civilian or military-inspired clothing to enhance the immersive atmosphere. Please note that some uniforms, insignia and props are restricted for safety and sensitivity reasons.

How long should we allow for our visit?
All visitors to the museum are invited to join in with the fun and get dressed up in either civilian or military period clothing. All weapons (including but not limited to deactivated rifles, blank firing weapons, knives, bayonets) are NOT permitted on site. Costume must be respectful and SS/Gestapo uniform (or similar) is strictly prohibited. We respectfully request in light of current events for visitors/reenactors to avoid Russian attire/equipment of any kind. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
