WW1 Auto-Car Lorry J2 Heavy Load Carrier

It’s History…

After the war it was sold to a French farmer who used it until the Second World War when the German army took it and used it for similar heavy load carrying duties. In 1945 it was found abandoned in a hedge with some battle damage, and it was used again by a local farmer.

It was then left in a barn until found and shipped to England to be used to carry a large generator for a fun fair until the early 1970s when it was sold to a collector and renovated and used at many military shows. The Autocar Lorry has been repainted to the original US Army colours in WWI.
